I don’t give up my seat without being asked to. Morning and after work rush hour the train is filled with tired working adults. Maybe itms’s the guy who worked over time and went home at 2am only to come back at 8am. Or perhaps it’s a nurse/doctor who just finished their night shift. Or maybe some construction workers who will work all day long? If the elderly require a seat, ask nicely and thank the person. Don’t act entitled.There was a time which I had to catch the subway at 6:30am, ride 17 stations (45 min), then walk 15min to work. So I know what it feels like for a lot of salaryman/salary woman. They need a seat too, and probably live far away from the work place due to cheaper rent. I don’t think “young” looking people should be automatically labeled as “should not sit”. Young people can feel tired and sick too.
