I offer up my seat for people who are clearly elderly or infirm, but I never know what the protocol is when someone looks older but not elderly... do they need the seat and I'll be a dick if I don't stand up? Or will I offend them and make them feel like they look really old if I do give them my seat? It's hard to know sometimes.
